It usually contains phosphorus, chromium, copper (0.25–0.55%), manganese (≤1.25%), and carbon (≤0.12%). When exposed to weather, this combination enables the steel to form an oxide layer that protects it. Sailcor provides good elongation and formability along with a minimum yield strength of 340–355 MPa and a tensile strength of 470–630 MPa. It is appropriate for outdoor structures due to its weldability and corrosion resistance, which lower maintenance requirements while providing strength and durability in exposed environments.
