The high-strength, low-alloy structural steel ABS DH36 has trace amounts of silicon, phosphorus and sulphur below 0.035%, manganese between 0.9 and 1.6%, and carbon around 0.18%. It provides exceptional toughness even at low temperatures with a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa and a tensile strength ranging from 490 to 620 MPa. ABS DH36 plates exhibit good weldability and exceptional impact resistance, especially at temperatures as low as -20°C. This makes them perfect for heavy-duty marine and offshore structural applications where durability and strength are crucial.
