Duplex Steel S32205 Coil consists of an evenly balanced microstructure of about 50% austenite and 50% ferrite. It has about 22% chromium, 5-6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and trace amounts of nitrogen, which provide it with increased corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. This steel has superior tensile strength (about 620 MPa) and yield strength (about 450 MPa), with good elongation and toughness. The duplex structure of the steel gives it excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting, for which it is best suited for bad and corrosive conditions.
