Hastelloy C22 Foils contain mainly Nickel (56%), Chromium (22%), Molybdenum (13%), and Iron (3%), with minute traces of Cobalt, Tungsten, and Manganese. These foils have good mechanical properties like a tensile strength of approximately 690 MPa, a yield strength of 310 MPa, and an elongation of about 45%, which makes them very formable. The alloy is suitable for conditions at high temperatures and has good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, and hence it is safe to use in chemically aggressive environments.
