Hastelloy Foils are primarily made up of nickel (up to 60%), along with molybdenum, chromium, iron, and cobalt, varying by grade. For instance, Hastelloy C-276 features about 57% nickel, 16% molybdenum, 15.5% chromium, and 5% iron. These foils boast impressive tensile strength (690–750 MPa), yield strength (~283 MPa), and good ductility and formability. Such properties guarantee reliable performance even in extreme conditions, whether in oxidizing or reducing environments, and at high temperatures. Hastelloy foils are non-magnetic and excel in resisting pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and crevice corrosion.
