Inconel 718 is a nickel-chromium alloy that has been enhanced with niobium, molybdenum, iron, titanium, and aluminium. Up to 700°C, this precipitation-hardenable alloy exhibits exceptional tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and creep-rupture characteristics. Tensile strength of about 1,250 MPa and yield strength of about 1,030 MPa with 12–15% elongation are typical mechanical values. Additionally, it resists post-weld cracking and has good weldability.
