Nickel Alloy 200 is a wrought nickel of commercial purity with an approximate composition of 99.6% nickel and small quantities of iron, manganese, copper, and silicon. It presents fine mechanical properties such as a tensile strength of about 55 ksi (380 MPa), a yield strength of 25 ksi (170 MPa), and an elongation of 45%. The alloy resists strength and ductility over a broad range of temperature. It also has superior resistance to caustic alkalis and low gas content, rendering it most suitable for application in chemically aggressive and high-performance industrial conditions.
