Nickel Alloy 200 foils consist of 99.6% pure nickel and are very resistant to alkalis and neutral salts. They possess good mechanical properties such as a tensile strength of around 55–75 ksi, yield strength of about 25 ksi, and elongation of 40–50%. Nickel 200 shows resistance to toughness and ductility at high as well as sub-zero temperatures. The alloy is not magnetic and has very high thermal and electrical conductivity. It also has good corrosion resistance, particularly in decreasing environments, and can easily be fabricated, welded, and shaped, making it suitable for high-performance industrial and electrical uses.
