Nimonic 80A is a high-performance, nickel-based alloy primarily composed of 75% nickel, 20% chromium, and small amounts of titanium (2.8-3.3%) and aluminum (1.0-1.5%). It also contains iron, cobalt, and other trace elements. This alloy exhibits exceptional heat resistance, oxidation, and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for high-temperature applications. The mechanical properties of Nimonic 80A include a high yield strength of 620 MPa and tensile strength of 1,310 MPa, with good creep and fatigue strength.
