17-7 PH Channel Stainless Steel is a precipitation-strengthened stainless steel with about 17% Chromium and 7% Nickel, with minor additions of aluminum to its heat-treating ability. This alloy has high strength and hardness, along with good corrosion resistance and formability. Mechanical properties differ based on the heat treatment condition (e.g., Condition C or RH950), but it typically provides tensile strength up to 1310 MPa and yield strength in excess of 1170 MPa. The alloy maintains mechanical strength in both high and sub-zero temperatures, and hence it is well suited for demanding structural applications.
