Stainless Steel 253MA Angle is an austenitic stainless steel alloy containing around 21% Chromium, 11% Nickel, and alloying constituents such as silicon, nitrogen, and rare earth metals. The additions improve its performance in high-temperature applications, with superior oxidation resistance up to 1150°C (2100°F). It offers tensile strength of approximately 600 MPa and yield strength of about 310 MPa. Nitrogen adds mechanical strength, whereas rare earths enhance scaling resistance. 253MA is endowed with outstanding mechanical stability, fair weldability, and high thermal strength, and it can be applied to structural applications in high-heat environments.
