Stainless Steel 253MA Channel is an austenitic stainless steel alloy that features about 21% Chromium, 11% Nickel, and silicon, nitrogen, and rare earth metal additions for enhanced performance at high temperatures. It provides a tensile strength of approximately 600 MPa and a yield strength of about 310 MPa with good resistance to scaling of up to 1150°C (2100°F). The presence of rare earth elements provides increased oxidation resistance and structural stability in high-temperature conditions, and nitrogen adds to its strength. 253MA has very good mechanical properties combined with good corrosion resistance, particularly in oxidizing and high-heat conditions.
