Stainless Steel 301 Channel is an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy of the following composition: Chromium 16–18%, Nickel 6–8%, and trace amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon. This alloy has excellent strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance. Mechanical properties consist of a tensile strength of as high as 930 MPa, yield strength of approximately 275 MPa, and favorable elongation and hardness. Stainless Steel 301 is distinguished for developing high strength and formability by cold working, and so it is an appropriate versatile material for structural and load-bearing structures in extreme environments.
