Stainless Steel 304L Angle is a lower carbon variant of the widely used 304 grade having 18–20% Chromium and 8–12% Nickel with a limit of 0.03% for carbon. The lower carbon content improves weldability by reducing carbide precipitation during welding, thus making it suitable for heavy gauge parts. It has a tensile strength of approximately 485 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa, and high elongation and ductility. Stainless Steel 304L is non-magnetic in the annealed state and exhibits excellent corrosion resistance, especially in mildly corrosive conditions, and is a suitable option for structure and fabrication applications.
