Stainless Steel 305 Angle is an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy intended for improved cold working performance. It is usually composed of 17–19% Chromium and 10.5–13% Nickel with a reduced carbon content (max 0.12%) that keeps work hardening to a minimum during fabrication. The mechanical properties are a tensile strength of around 586 MPa and a yield strength of around 241 MPa. Stainless Steel 305 is not magnetic in the annealed state and has good ductility and toughness. This grade is particularly well-suited for deep drawing and forming applications where mechanical flexibility and corrosion resistance are critical to long-term performance.
