Stainless Steel 309H Channel is a high-carbon variant of SS 309 with Chromium (22-24%), Nickel (12-15%), Carbon (0.04–0.10%), Manganese (≤2%), Silicon (≤1%), and the rest Iron. The higher carbon content improves high-temperature strength and creep life. The alloy possesses tensile strength of approximately 550 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40%. SS 309H maintains fine oxidation resistance and structural stability even at elevated temperatures up to 1100°C. It also shows fine weldability and formability, so it is well suited for structural components under thermal cycling and severe operating conditions.
