Stainless Steel 316Ti Channel is a titanium-stabilized variant of SS 316 having Chromium (16–18%), Nickel (10–14%), Molybdenum (2–3%), Titanium (≥5x carbon content), Carbon (≤0.08%), Manganese (≤2%), Silicon (≤1%), and remainder Iron. The addition of titanium stabilizes the material against sensitization by avoiding carbide precipitation during welding or prolonged high-temperature exposure. It possesses tensile strength of around 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40%. SS 316Ti maintains very good mechanical and corrosion resistance properties in harsh and high-temperature conditions, especially in acidic and chloride-exposed situations where normal 316 can be inadequate.
