Stainless Steel 347H Sheets and Plates consist primarily of chromium (17–20%), nickel (9–13%), and carbon (0.04–0.10%) along with columbium/tantalum to improve stabilization. This alloy possesses superior oxidation resistance and creep strength at high temperatures. It provides tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of about 35%. Its high carbon content enhances high-temperature strength due to which it finds applications in pressure vessels as well as heat exchangers.
