348H Stainless Steel is a stabilized austenitic stainless steel with a content of about 17–19% Chromium, 9–13% Nickel, with a Columbium (Niobium) addition for stability against intergranular corrosion. The “H” grade means a greater carbon content for increased resistance to creep at elevated temperatures. It has a minimum tensile strength of 585 MPa, 240 MPa yield strength, and 35% elongation. This steel grade ensures higher strength and oxidation resistance in continuous service up to 900°C (1650°F), which makes it well-suited for high-temperature structural purposes.
