Stainless Steel 465 is a martensitic age-hardenable stainless steel alloy with around 11–12% Chromium, 10.5–11.5% Nickel, and minor additions of Molybdenum and Titanium. It possesses excellent mechanical properties such as tensile strength greater than 1550 MPa and high fracture toughness following heat treatment. SS 465 is also resistant to stress corrosion cracking and has good formability in the annealed condition. Its corrosion resistance and strength are best suited for high-load, weight-critical, and fatigue-critical environments.
